HelioHost Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 (edited) Username: squash, Server: Tommy, Main domain: <removed>.nl.eu.org Dear HelioHost, In addition to my previous ticket I have another issue: The IP-address (65.19.141.77) used to send mail is blacklisted by: * Anonmails DNSBL, and: * UCEPROTECTL3. The registrant of the IP-address is: "AS6939 Hurricane Electric LLC". I request that this issue, in addition to those below, be resolved. If this is not possible by February 2nd, I would like to be informed of your progress, and by which date you expect to have resolved all issues. My Helioshost-email: <removed>.nl.eu.org Kind regards, <removed> From: <removed> Sent: vrijdag 19 januari 2024 12:53 To: support@heliohost.org Subject: FW: Email limit Dear HelioHost, In addition to my previous ticket I have another issue. Only when I'm connected using a VPN, or using mobile data on my phone, can I use my email and access Plesk at https://tommy2.heliohost.org:8443/. Using my regular home connection and IP-address (<removed>) , I have the following problems: * I cannot send or receive emails and my client (Outlook) shows the error message: 0x800CCC0E. * I cannot access Plesk via 'https://heliohost.org/dashboard/'. After I click 'Continue to the Plesk control panel.', my browser shows the error: 'ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT'. I tried: different devices; browsers; email clients, DNS-providers and cleaning cookies. However the problem remains. My Helioshost-email: <removed>.nl.eu.org Kind regards, <removed> From: <removed> > Sent: vrijdag 19 januari 2024 12:24 To: 'support@heliohost.org' > Subject: Email limit Dear HelioHost, Can you please change "The maximum number of outgoing email messages" to "Unlimited"? If this is not permitted, please set it to the highest number. Kind regards, <removed> Edited February 1, 2024 by Krydos Removed personal information
Krydos Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 It looks like UCEPROTECTL level 1 and 2 does not actually list 65.19.141.77. Level3 has 505,856 IP addresses in it, and if any of those 505,856 IP addresses send spam it will be listed for 7 days. Obviously HelioHost doesn't own even own 0.003% of those addresses so we have very little control over what the other thousands of IP address owners do or don't do. Level 2 has 16,384 IP addresses in it, which miraculously isn't listed somehow, but once again we have very little control over what the other 16,256 IP addresses do. I just checked Anonmails DNSBL and it says 65.19.141.77 is not listed as well. One other thing that you may be interested in is we can offer a dedicated IP address to you so you aren't affected by the emails of the other 563 users on your server. Any time someone installs Wordpress on Tommy and inevitably gets hacked the account usually starts trying to send thousands of spam emails. Obviously we get them suspended as quickly as we can, but sometimes a few slip out and get the shared IP listed. With a dedicated IP address you would be the only user on that IP address so only your emails would affect your getting listed in a spam blacklist. A dedicated IPv4 is $2 per month, or $20 for a year.
