johnjuan Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) Hey, my website (http://josteiling.eu) has very long loading times on the front- and backend. Is this due to the server being slow or an error with my wordpress install? I couldn't really find a reason for these performance issues. Could changing the server help? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Edited January 8, 2024 by johnjuan Quote
wolstech Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 It's because you're using WordPress. WordPress is badly written and extremely inefficient. Most users on our service that try WordPress have this issue (and if they don't, they usually end up suspended for high load instead). You can try removing a bunch of extensions from your WordPress installation (some such as elementor, wordfence, and woocommerce are especially known for their performance impact), but the best solution is to use something other than WordPress. Krydos Posted January 10, 2024 Posted January 10, 2024 If you want to use Wordpress we recommend getting a VPS which start at $4 per month https://heliohost.org/vps/ where your high load won't slow down the other users on our shared hosting plans. Quote
