HelioHost Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Username: textbased, Server: Johnny, Main domain: textbased.helioho.stHello, First, thank you so much for providing this service. I would like to add a domain to my account. I am on the *Johnny server*. My account: *textbased* The domain: *bucharest.eu.org * I would like to keep the main domain, this new one is just an additional one. If possible, the new domain should point to its own folder. I know I need to change the A records in my DNS to point to your sever (Johnny). Are these the correct IPs for Johnny? ;; A Records yourdomain.com. 1 IN A 65.19.141.67 ;; AAAA Records yourdomain.com. 1 IN AAAA 2001:470:1:1ee::2009 ;; CNAME Records www.yourdomain.com. 1 IN CNAME yourdomain.com. ;; MX Records yourdomain.com. 1 IN MX 0 yourdomain.com. ;; TXT Records yourdomain.com. 1 IN TXT "v=spf1 ip4:65.19.141.67 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 ~all" _dmarc.yourdomain.com. 1 IN TXT "v=DMARC1; p=none" Lastly, will I be able to also create an email account for this new domain? Thanks again and best regards!
Kairion Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Hello, textbased. Those DNS records are indeed correct considering you will first change the example domain (yourdomain.com) to your own domain (bucharest.eu.org). You can follow the steps in this tutorial to guide you into this process: https://helionet.org/index/topic/55079-dns-records-file-for-heliohost-servers/ Regarding your questions: Addon domains can have their own web root directories (their own folders). Those records are ready for mail hosting, you will just have to generate your DKIM records after your additional domain gets added into your account (the above link will also guide you into doing that). Finally, since you are requesting an additional domain to be added into your account, a root admin will have to add it for you. As soon as they have done it they will let you know.
Krydos Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 The domain has been added. You can find the matching directory for it in your home directory. Delete the default index.html and put your files in there to get started. As long as your A record and AAAA record are correct in Cloudflare your domain should start working in about 76 minutes.
