Putting "Options -Indexes" in htaccess file causes internal error with "options not allowed here" error. Removed that and website works but directories are open to browse

How to stop directories from being browsed now?

Options -Indexes (and a few other directives) is not supported on Plesk.

Just put a blank index.html file in the folders instead.

If we turn them off globally, people who want them won't be able to see them.

As it stands, users who don't want the listings can just put an index.html in the folder to effectively turn them off.

I should be able to eventually enable "Options -Indexes" on Plesk. My main focus right now is getting new account creation implemented because there are hundreds of donors waiting to create a new account. Once those other top priority issues are fixed I can spend some time working on .htaccess. This issue is very low priority right now because it has such a simple workaround of being able to place an index.html file.
