I normally transfer all the files via FTP. Also, you are saying that the troubles may take a couple of weeks and That the VPS plan costs 4 usd per month. After one month, will the VPS account be automatically Changed again into a free account? Krydos Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 All of the VPS plans come with SFTP access enabled by default. SFTP is secure and works the same way as SSH using the same username and password as SSH. All FTP clients, such as Filezilla, should support the SFTP protocol. By default the VPS plans auto-bill each month (or every six months with a 10% discount), but you could sign up for a VPS and we could immediately cancel the subscription so it doesn't bill again. When the month ends you would get an email notification asking if you want to renew and keep your VPS. Hopefully we will get the new servers ready to go before the end of the month though. We've never installed Plesk before and a lot of our internal systems will need to be rewritten from scratch to support a new control panel so it could take a while to get all of that done. Tommy will be rebuilt first, followed by Ricky, and then Johnny. After the servers are rebuilt with Plesk we will attempt to automatically restore all of the active cPanel accounts. We've never used it before, but Plesk offers a converter script that should restore all of the files and domains and everything from your existing cPanel account. If you're considering a VPS plan to keep your domain online during the rebuild and aren't very familiar with Linux and SSH we can also install a free control panel for you. We recommend Ubuntu 20 with Hestia control panel. Hestia also offers a converter script that should automatically import all of your files and settings from your full backup that we emailed you about.
