Hello!

I am trying to set up a domain but it always returns this error:

" *Error:* (XID r99hgs) Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP

address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this

server.

Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your

administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the

proper A entries on that remote nameserver."

On my domain registrar, I setup the following entries:

A 64.62.211.133

A 65.19.143.3

AAAA 2001:470:1:1ee:0:0:0:2

AAAA 2001:470:1:1ee:0:0:0:1002

I did not setup directly the ns1 and ns2 because it does not allow if the

domain is not already registered on heliohost.

Thanks in advance,

Juliano

We don't support the use of A records for addon domains.

Based on the issue, I'm guessing this is either a .br domain, or eu.org. These two are the only two we know of that are noncompliant with industry standards regarding hosting setup, and as a result require a workaround.

To handle these noncompliant domains that require the host be set up first, the process to configure the domain is this:

1. Change your main domain to the new domain you want to configure: http://heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/domain

2. Configure the name servers on your registrar. Wait until your site comes online.

3. Change your main domain back to its original value using the same link as number 1.

4. Add the new domain as an addon domain.

This tricks the registrar into thinking the host is set up so you can set NS records before adding the addon domain.
