[Answered] cPanel - deleted files to free up space, emptied trash, but no reduction in space used. Why?

Space meter sometimes takes a few minutes to update.

 

Also, check in your temp ~/tmp folder, the stats data loves to eat large amounts of space...

tmp can probably be cleared out if you want that 21 MB back.
