Hitmaker Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Account: hitmaker.heliohost.org Server: Tommy Does this server support imagemagick? It worked for certain versions of PHP, but it would seem that imagemagick was recently removed as it now invokes an error if I try to utilize it. I can't find any information on any removals or restrictions in the forums or FAQ, only seeing that I must utlize certain versions of PHP to use it. However, all the versions ive tried do not have it.
Luigi123 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 We do support for Tommy server but we just need to install it for you depending which PHP version you are currently using.
Hitmaker Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 I see. I just find it strange that it worked initially, then all of a sudden, didnt. I was just wondering if there was a recent policy change. If I have to request it then I suppose PHP 7.2 would be most appropriate for me. Thank you for looking at this.
wolstech Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 It's available on 7.3, but appears to be missing from all other versions. I wouldn't be surprised if this was intentionally removed though...we've had issues with this extension leaving behind large temp files that quickly fill up /tmp (which when full causes the server to go down).
Hitmaker Posted July 7, 2020 Author Posted July 7, 2020 (edited) we've had issues with this extension leaving behind large temp files that quickly fill up /tmp (which when full causes the server to go down).ah, that would do it. It's available on 7.3, but appears to be missing from all other versions.thats a pity. I prefered using 7.2 and ealier as 7.3's upgrade from PCRE to PCRE2 causes various issues for me, but if this is the only way I suppose Ill have to manage. Thank you for your attention on this matter. Edited July 7, 2020 by Hitmaker
Krydos Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 7.3 is the only php version on Tommy that has imagick installed. I'd be willing to install it on one of the 5.x versions if you want, but not 7.2.
Hitmaker Posted July 7, 2020 Author Posted July 7, 2020 No need; I switched to 7.3 last night and after some testing and some script updates everything seems to work fine (so far, fingers crossed). I expect to butt heads with it again in the future, but for now everything works. Thanks!
