Hi Support,

Simply trying to post my Heliohost website on my Facebook news feed but a message pops-up saying,

You can't share this link
  • heliohost.org

Your post couldn't be shared, because this link goes against our Community Standards
  • If you think this doesn't go against our Community Standards let us know.

Any idea why i'm receiving this message please? Always posted it successfully before. The website is simply a musicians website.

my username is "wal"

website url is:

http://www.wal.heliohost.org/ElizabethReedShowdown/index.php

Thank you for your time and help

That's normal. Users phish all the time on our subdomain, hence why the link is blocked. We can't do anything about it.

As flazepe said, HelioHost is banned by Facebook because we occasionally get users who host phishing sites (we're also banned by Twitter). The bans come and go, but all it takes is one person to phish and post a link to their phishing using one of our domains to get the whole hosting company blocked.

The easiest fix is to get a real domain and add it to your account. Facebook's ban is by domain for *.heliohost.org, so using a different domain fixes it.

I was also thrown out of Facebook few days ago. They (Facebook) accused me of creating a page to spam and gain likes which is actually not true. I tried contacting them using every method I find on Google but they bluntly refuse to respond.

This happened when the page I created hit 45likes in three days. I am using freenom domain.

Freenom and most other free domains are banned. I got flagged on reddit last year for posting a link with a freenom domain. The auto mod in the subs in question deleted my posts in minutes for the domain, and one sub banned me. I ended up buying a domain for it, and no issues since.

You have to buy a domain nowadays if you want to be able to promote your site. Too much abuse on the free providers.

You can always try posting a link to heliohost.org and when facebook blocks you file a report that the domain isn't harmful. I doubt anyone actually reads the reports, but it only wastes like 5 seconds to make the report.
