[Solved] PostgreSQL Database Version Upgrade

Hi ,

 

I am using Tommy server and PostgreSQL is my database choice , however the PostgreSQL is running version 9.2 which is old and which will no longer receive security updates and bug fixes.

(According to https://www.postgresql.org "To receive continued support, we suggest that you make plans to upgrade to a newer, supported version of PostgreSQL").

 

I develop applications that are compatible with PostgreSQL version >= 9.6 and cannot run on version 9.2 . Please upgrade the version to at least version 9.6 .Thanks

This cannot be upgraded because cpanel does not support anything newer.

 

You'll need to modify your code to run on the older version.

Also note that you can run any version of postgresql that you feel like installing, such as 9.6, on a vps https://www.heliohost.org/vps/
