Perhaps I wasn't clear about the details. Specifically, your account cannot be unsuspended because it has an Iranian domain attached to it.

For legal reasons, we cannot host any domain ending in .ir (the country code for Iran). If I recall correctly, these country domains require you prove you're affiliated with that country to purchase, so even if you're in the Netherlands as you claim, you've proven you have a connection to Iran simply by owning that domain.

Sorry for the intruding, but country domains can have different rules.

The brazilian (.BR) top-level domain (my country) for example follows what you said (it is necessary to be affiliated to Brazil as a person or as a company) but Iran doesn't seem to have this kind of rule, which can be checked on their registrar website:

https://secure.iranic.com/en/policies.cfm#Who_May_Apply

Quoted from the link above:

A. Who May Apply?
  1. Organizations legally represented within the geographic boundary of Iran.
  2. Individuals residing officially in Iran.
  3. Organizations connected with the official representations of Iran abroad.
  4. Other individuals or organizations whose activity and the use of the domain name are not in conflict with the laws, practices and interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

So there IS a possibility that the topic author may not be related to Iran.

Either way, I'm not sure you guys can host a iranian domain regardless of who is its owner, since I'm not familiar with US laws.

Thanks a lot :) :) :)
