kvhc128 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I use Windows the most (Windows Vista to be exact), but I personally like Linux (Ubuntu) better. Quote
JcX Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I believed that this topic has been discussed before... but somehow I couldn't get the URL back... A lot of members here are developer, and they use Linux a lot. Quote
Derek Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Mac OS X ftw. I just hate it when I look for programs because they always require a higher OS than I have "Mac OS X 10.3.9" Quote

Derek Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Many people complain about Windows, personally I think its great, its got a nice GUI. Downside is that its not so stable, Linux is great, Ubuntu rocks... Yeah some people complain about Windows, but I don't like it that much. Mostly because: Java Applets + Windows (Intel PC) = Working o.O Java Applets + Mac G3 (PPC PC) = Super slow speeds Quote
raccess Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I like Windows Vista the most. Sure it has some problems, but it's still very useful and quick. Quote
Deospeon Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I'm using Windows XP SP3; However, Im using Linux Ubuntu on my PS3. Quote
mknjhill Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 For my servers iperfer linux, but for my personal computer I perfer windows XP (Vista is a resourse Hog...) Quote
The Doctor Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Dreamlinux (a forked Debian). I can cold boot >66mbs used. Also a great liveCD for fixing fubar'd M$ boxes. Compiz blows the doors off Vista. AWN gives me an OSX-Leopard dock. Why not have the best (or better) of Mac & MS? Quote
esay Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Yeah, unfortunately i use Vista. My school only supports Windows, so I'm stuck with it. I do how ever sometimes use Ubuntu, but it just seems unnecessary, as there is not much it can do that Vista can't. Quote
Sungazer Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Win XP Pro. And every once in a while I toy around with linux (different builds). And Ive never had any major problems with windows that I didnt cause. I find that most instability issues (most, not all) are user related. Quote
XxMorbiousxX Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Windows XP is the best thing since sliced bread...well wait..how many SP's are we up to? 3 I guess? HA! Microsoft is an epic failure and so is Vista. I wouldn't waste my time downloading it illegally let alone pay that much money for anything Windows-based. Linux is clearly superior and if you are going to screw with Windows, Then use XP SP3. There is no need for Media Center or Vista. They were both epic failures and I downgraded back from both of them a week after each install. Microsoft = Slacking and will soon die if it continues to release *#&$ Operating Systems. Quote
Binary Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I primarily boot into Windows XP SP2, though I can also boot up with Fedora or BSD. On Windows I can emulate Ubuntu and Solaris. Additionally, I can also boot a version of Linux and BSD from a USB drive, to fix broken Windows computers. Quote
GunJunky Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I use Windows 7, XP and Ubuntu (tripple boot) Quote
