[Solved] Ricky server extremely slow?

Hello,

Is anyone experiencing high load times on Ricky server? Everything loads so slow for me even cPanel.

I understand this is probably due to Tommy being down and everyone moving to Ricky, but is it supposed to be that slow still?

 

Edit: pingdom.com speed test shows that my homepage (which has a fresh GRAV installation) takes a whole 24.45s to load (Germany server)

 

on a HTML/CSS only page (very small), Google's PageSpeed gives it Speed Index of 8.9s!

It happens sometimes, nothing we can do about it. Right now, Ricky’s server load went down to normal.

I've been experiencing this for the past two days but thought the same as you said. So now I thought maybe I'm doing something wrong so I went ahead by asking...

@Madel: Don't worry about the loading time. I had a Grav installation on my website and it used to remain 10 hours offline in a day, reported by UptimeRobot stats.

 

Then I've switched to an HTML/CSS theme and the loading time as well as uptime has improved. I hardly get any reports of downtime and my site loads perfectly well (Pagerank said 4.3 secs).

 

That's pretty good stats considering the fact that I'm on Johnny.

Ricky can be very slow at times.

 

Also, If you're one of the many tommy uses who is on Ricky because their account got lost on tommy, yes, Ricky is painfully slow in comparison.
