Proxies in general cause a lot of load, no matter which one you use. The best advice is to either buy a VPS (https://heliohost.org/vps/ ) and run it on that, or not run a proxy at all. With a VPS you can do whatever you please and you're only limited by the RAM and CPU of the VPS you buy. By having a VPS, you won't get suspended for overusing resources, it just slows down.

 

Most free hosts actually ban running proxies. While we do technically allow it on our free shared hosting, they don't work all that well here due to the resource usage and often get users suspended.

Indeed. Supports pretty much every networked appplication out there if you use the right software. It's also a lot more resource efficient...
