Amoss
Hi I read that heliohost/tommy supports SSL built in but when calling my war file, it works with HTTP but doesn't work with HTTPS.Did I misunderstand or is there something I should do to add ssl support? Thanks
wolstech
Java is an oddity. It doesn't have ssl unless you ask for it, and if you do, the non-SSL access goes away entirely (providing both would cause your account to take up two java slots). Krydos can set this up for you. Amoss
Hi and thanks for a quick reply cpanel: stockdi1main domain: stockdiv.heliohost.org (I will migrate my real domain soon, will it make your work obsolete or it doesn't matter?)server: tommy Thanks
Krydos
There you go https://stockdiv.heliohost.org/MyHelioServlet/ Java is actually installed on your main domain, not on your account. So changing your main domain causes java to stop working.
Amoss
Using my test api shows a weird behavior now that it's https so I will check later when I'm home. Regarding Java and domain: I will assign the domain I bought to your hosting but do I understand correctly that when calling Java, I should keep using the url https://stockdiv.heliohost.org... and not the new domain? Krydos
You can use the new domain if you want, but you'll have to ask us to install java on the new domain instead of your current domain.
Amoss
First I want to say thank you again, HTTPS is working! Sorry for being slow here:I have a site placed in https://stockdiv.heliohost.org/save.me/I want to point my domain to that folder so when people enter www.mydomain.com they will reach this folder/site - so far so good? Regardless, I will still call my Java using https://stockdiv.heliohost.org/MyHelioServlet/That means nothing would change and there won't be a need for a new Java installation, right? Krydos
Yes, as long as you access the java pages through stockdiv.heliohost.org domain it will continue working.
Amoss
That's my intention, thanks a lot!
