Please Install Java and Tomcat server for Tommy server

Hi sir,

 

Please install Java8 and Tomcat server for Tommy server.

How can we access the heliohost with terminal? (via SSH/PUTTY)

Java is available, but you need to request it and wait for it to be enabled, there's an option in cpanel for it under the software section. It usually takes about a day once you request it.

 

We do not allow SSH for security reasons.

Thanks for reply, But java and tomcat is not installed in my tommy server, My request is still in QUEUE state, I raised request 1 day ago.

Please can you install.

We cannot manually install it for somebody as this would let you skip the line (everyone else on Tommy who wants it is waiting in that line too, requests are first come first served). In fairness to everyone else waiting in line, you have to wait in line as well. Your install date is based on demand and server load. I'm not sure what the Java utilization looks like on Tommy, but if it's full, the day you get it will be the day someone else loses it.

 

The system estimates an install sometime tomorrow for people who request today though. If you requested yesterday, you're probably going to get it within the next 24 hours unless there's high load or something.

hi, I want to run the java spring war file, that's why i want setup of tomcat with java8.

I'm not sure what you mean by java8. Tommy runs Tomcat 9.0 on Java 1.8. Johnny runs Tomcat 8.5 on Java 1.8. Eventually Johnny will be upgraded to Tomcat 9.0 as well though.

It looks like you probably mean Java 1.8 not Tomcat 8.0 like I was thinking https://www.quora.com/Do-Java-1-8-and-Java-8-refer-to-the-same-thing
