HelioHost Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Username: N/A, Server: N/A, Main Domain: N/A Hi, I have deployed my java web application.I uploaded my file.war and click deployed. However I can't access it via the following:My application's name is website_sidebar http://hongsoengsiv.heliohost.org/website_sidebar Thanks
wolstech Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 That account doesn't have Java enabled on it from the looks of it. Assuming you've requested Java in cPanel, your domain is supposed to show a Tomcat 404 error if it was enabled. Looking at that account, there's something...odd...about it too, in that I can't find it in some of our admin tools despite it existing. From what I can tell, something went wrong when it was created...this will need to be looked at by our primary root admin Krydos, which may be a while since he's been busy with other non-HelioHost stuff (we're all volunteers, so we all have a job and the like to tend to as well). If you prefer, I can just delete the account and send an invite for a new one. Would you prefer to do that instead?
HelioHost Posted March 21, 2018 Author Posted March 21, 2018 If delete this account and create new one will resolve my issue then Yes. wolstech Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 It worked correctly this time around. No idea what happened with the last account. Please go ahead and request Java/deploy the WAR again. It should work properly now for you.

wolstech Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Tommy can take up to 24 hours to get Java installed, but usually it happens in less time than that. The wait shouldn't be too long. You'll know it finished because there will be a form for deploying a war in place of the request Java message once it happens, and your domain will show a tomcat 404 error instead of a directory listing.
HelioHost Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 Hi, The java still not yet install in my account yet. Can you please help me =check it if it got any problem again? wolstech Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 The expected wait on my end says tomorrow. I've verified you're still in line for it. Tommy usually only has a day for the wait, but it can take longer at times. I have never seen it take more than 2 days for a user on Tommy though (the significantly shorter wait is a big reason people switch to Tommy to start with). If it still hasn't installed by tomorrow, our other root admin Krydos will need to take a deeper look as to why Java doesn't want to work for you, as I don't see anything wrong with the account. Even with the delay in getting Java set up and the possible need for Krydos to fix this, you're still way ahead of our Johnny users (they're look at the end of July before they'll get it!), so don't feel bad about your decision! Java is one of the few things we have that everybody wants, but that scales absolutely terribly on a shared host. We have far more demand for this service than we do hardware to offer it, hence the need for these waits. There's a fixed number of slots for Java, and when they're full, nobody gets Java until someone else loses it. Your waiting period is determined by how many others want it and how fast others manage to lose it (getting suspended or not using it are the easiest ways to do that). Java requests are filled in the order they're received, so there's likely someone in line ahead of you as well (I have no way of viewing who's in line for it, all I get is an estimated activation date for someone who signs up for it today).
