[HH#32483] I can't locate my files in folder public_html (.zip files)

I made some .zip files of my web sites. When I clicked the button named

'move' there was a path '/public_html/backup' and I clicked this path in

order to move my files. When I looked for this specific path , I realized

that there was no such path . So, I can't locate these files. Where can I

find them ?

Thank you in advance , Theodore Zervas

It's /home/zervas/backup/ not /home/zervas/public_html/backup/. Generally you don't want to put things like backups in a place where someone could download it. For example your backup might contain a config.php file which has your database password. If anyone can download it anyone can have access to or delete your database.

I have mode some .zip files in public_html directory and When I clicked the

button move there was a path /home/public_html/backup and I clicked yes. I

looked for this path and did not exist. I looked for /home/backup and there

were no .zip files . I made .zip files of each site and not the whole.

Do I have to delete the .zip file of backup directory so that not anyone

else can download it ?

Thank you

Like I said it's a bad idea to have backups in public_html because anyone can download it, but I checked your account and your backup file is in /home/zervas/backup/ like it should be. Notice how there isn't a /public_html/ in that path?
