Hi,

Sorry for asking but I have gone through the net and I still can't figure it out..

1. I want to create 2 different websites

2. For each site, I would like to set up the domain so that when I type the URL in the address bar, www.xyz.tk, my site will show and when I click on link 'about me', the URL will update to read www.xyz.tk/aboutme.html

3. I have 2 .tk domains, one for each of the sites.

I have 1 site uploaded. It works: http://www.gaya3in1.heliohost.org/

I need to link my domain www.gaya3in1.tk and create the 2nd site. I tried:

- to add an alias and it didn't link the site

- to add an addon and it gave me an error message

The directory, /home/gaya3in1/public_html/gaya3in1.tk could not be created.

- to add subdomain and it gave me an error message

there was a problem creating the sub-domain: The directory, /home/gaya3in1/public_html/xxx.tk could not be created.

I think it is to do with where I uploaded the files for

http://www.gaya3in1.heliohost.org/

It is all under public_html and there is a folder called gaya3in1.heliohost.org/ in that with nothing in it.. Is that correct?

What happens if you try to create the directory mentioned in the error manually? If it lets you create it, give it 755 permissions, then try creating the addon domain again.

Johnny is known for weird domain creation errors, but this is a new one for me.

Thanks. I have special powers in finding bugs, what can I say :)

FYI

When I sign in to https://johnny.heliohost.org:2083/ it says The login is invalid.

but when I sign in to https://www.heliohost.org/ it logs me on and redirects me to https://johnny.heliohost.org:2083/

I cleared my cached items. It doesn't fix it. I never had this issue before but my account was recently achieved and unarchived. I've been having issues since. Not sure if they are related.

I went to file manager -> public_html -> add folder -> gaya3in1.tk

I got the following message:

Johnny.heliohost.org.2083 says: ERROR: Could not create directory "gaya3in1.tk" in /home/gaya3in1/public_html: Disk quota exceeded

When I went to file manager -> public_html -> upload file -> created a empty folder and pulled it in

I got the following message:

An unknown error occurred.

I think I found the problem... I am out of space.

You are using your maximum storage allotment, 1,000 MB. If you want more, contact your service provider.

This is the breakdown. I dont know what these hidden subdirectories are.

Files in hidden subdirectories. 812.91 MB

cache/ 0.03 MB

etc/ 0.01 MB

mail/ 0.08 MB

public_ftp/ 0.00 MB

public_html/ 187.69 MB - this is where I uploaded all my files

Could you please increase my allowance? This is my personal site. I want to create another site for a photography project I am working on.

If I had to guess, it's probably the cPanel File Manager's trash bin. Have you deleted a lot of stuff? Go into the cPanel File Manager and empty the trash.

At this time we don't offer additional disk space, though plans for this are in the works.

Wow, I had a lot of crap. That fixed the memory issue and the Addon error issue. Thank you!!!

Now I have gaya3in1.tk as alias and gaya3in1weddings.tk as addon.

What username are you using when you try to login at johnny.heliohost.org:2083?

The same for both, gaya3in1... I tried copy paste and one saved on my computer... they both work on one but not the other

Hi, Thank you. I dont want to redirect http://www.gaya3in1.heliohost.org/weddings/wedding.php to gaya3in1weddings.tk or via versa. If they access it via gaya3in1.tk then I want them to stay within that site so I don't think redirect will work.

I would like it so that when someone types: gaya3in1weddings.tk that they are shown http://www.gaya3in1.heliohost.org/weddings/wedding.php but the url still says gaya3in1weddings.tk, like a normal site. Or can create a separate site/page and link it to gaya3in1weddings.tk- but how? where do I store the information and how do I link it to the domain?

The reason I ask is because https://www.heliohost.org/login/ accepts your email address or your username with uppercase or lowercase letters, and https://johnny.heliohost.org:2083/ only accepts username and the username must be in all lowercase. If you try to enter your email address into the second it would say invalid login. Obviously the solution for you is just to login at https://www.heliohost.org/login/ as that's the recommended way anyways.
