Im not sure where to post my question so i will ask here

Server - Johnny

 

My website is mostly down even if sometimes Johnny is up my website is still down or getting establishing database connection. Is doing up and down all the time and is also slow. Is it something wrong with my website, if so where should i look for the problem.

 

Any suggestion or advice will be much appreciated.

You’re on Johnny, so that’s pretty much normal. I have the same issue when viewing user sites on Johnny. They take forever or fail randomly. I get connection resets, timeouts, database errors, and similar errors all the time and have to refresh.

 

Your best bet is to move to Tommy to fix it.

Once i did you a trouble on Tommy, then i didnt know what damage can wp plugins do. Now im aware and not adding new plugins, but im afraid that Tommy will not want me there and im afraid to ask for that

Worst case is you get suspended for load and you have to remove some more plugins to lower it.

 

Personally I'd recommend dumping WordPress entirely (it's infamous for bugs and security issues, there's better software out there), but we have tons of people who use WP on Tommy without issue.

But once i did you a trouble (and learned my lesson) can i still have a chance to get back on tommy with same user name and domain?

You'd have to go through the move process again (deleting your account and signing up during free registrations, or donating and asking to be moved), but yes, you can move back to Tommy assuming you've managed to fix your load issue. See http://wiki.helionet.org/Moving_your_account

 

It's worth noting that Johnny is a lot slower and down more than normal right now. His load is very high, even for Johnny just being Johnny. I've asked about that issue and am waiting to hear back on it.

I'm willing to donate, is there a minimum that needs to be donated? And if i go with donation do i have to download backup and moving my site or will be automatic?

$1 minimum though more is appreciated. Once you donate, just post the transaction number and we can move the account automatically. You do NOT need to backup and delete (though making a backup before such a change is always good practice, so I'd make one anyway).
