Luigi123 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Hello,I want to open the port number 27500 for Hlstatsx connect to my game servers. Server: Tommy Cpanel username: luigi123 Main domain: hyten.heliohost.org IP: 65.19.143.6 Port: 27500 Thank you.
Krydos Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Is this instead of 21715, and 21725 or in addition to? Also what is the destination ip, 158.69.57.87?
Luigi123 Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 No, this IP 65.19.143.6:27500 belongs to the hlstatsx. Not for the game servers. So we need to open that port so our hlstatsx connects to our game servers to record the players ranks, their chats, etc.
wolstech Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 You asked this before. Hlstatsx requires a custom daemon that we don't support. https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/27674-solved-open-port-number-27500-and-permission-to-run-3-cron-jobs/ Have they released a version that doesn't require a background daemon? If not, what are you implementing since hlstatsx itself won't run here?

wolstech Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 You don't need a web host for that, you need a VPS or game host. There aren't going to be many if any shared hosts that will run it because of the extra background processes. Hlstatsx is not standard web software. There are dedicated gaming hosts that specialize in running this sort of app, so if you don't want to manage a server yourself, you could use one of them. A search for hlstatsx hosting turns up many promising results including a "free" (well, free but they upsell premium service) web host.
