Hello,

 

I set up an account last night with heliohost. The account status page

tells me the following:

 

Your account has been created, and your main domain dirtydozen.heliohost.org

is ready to go. If you're still

seeing the account queued page when you go to your domain make sure you

clear your browser cache or view your site through a proxy. Sometimes the

queued page can get saved in your browser even though your site is working.

You can log in to your cPanel to begin creating your website.

 

However, when I go to my website domain, the page fails to load. I've set

up an html page under "public_html" and all permissions are set to 0777. Is

there a reason it's not loading?

I have since been able to load the webpage, but it runs very slowly. Also,

when I try to load the python script in my web page I get this:

 

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable

to complete your request.

 

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@dirtydozen.heliohost.org

and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have

done that may have caused the error.

 

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

 

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while

trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

 

Is this an error in my website or something with the server?

Since you picked the Johnny server slow response time, and downtime can happen since it's an experimental server. What experimental means is there can be a lot more load spikes which causes slow response time and downtime. Also since Johnny is so much more overcrowded there is more chance of one user causing downtime for everyone else, which is what happened this morning. That user has now been suspended, and Johnny's performance has returned to normal.

 

Python scripts need permissions 755 to run not 777. What script are you referring to?
