allera Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Beforehand, I want to apologize that I have not read before the Multiple Accounts Policy. Could you please let me keep my two accounts. Yesterday, I've created an account on Ricky where I host a domain and a website. Adding a parked domain caused the acount to be queued for several hours. Changing DNS to make zoho be my mail hosting server was a pain... and also took several hours to update spf records. Lastly and finally server is up, running and everything configured. Then, I've read that Tommy server is not taking that long to make those changes (reboot Apache) making account queues faster. So I run today and open an account on Tommy. I'm planning to migrate to Tommy in a future, I'm planning to bring two more domains here, but since all that pain and wait with DNS's zone editor, I'm asking permission to keep them both. Username: alleraServer: TommyMain domain: allera1.heliohost.org Username: alexrymServer: RickyMain domain: allera.heliohost.org Thanks in advance, Alejandro Rojas
wolstech Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 We'll wait and see what Krydos says, but this is not a normal request. The DNS updates do take a while because of propagation, but since all of our servers use the same nameservers, and you've pointed the MX's to a non-HelioHost server anyway, I can't imagine much of an interruption. Maybe an hour or so while the zones are removed/readded. Also, if you don't mind donating $1, you can try our beta script to move the entire Ricky account onto Tommy as-is without having to reconfigure it (you'd need to delete the Tommy account you made first). If you want to do that instead, go ahead and donate, then let us know and we can move your account.
Krydos Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Also, if you don't mind donating $1, you can try our beta script to move the entire Ricky account onto Tommy@wolstech, He actually already donated $5 to create the Tommy account even though it was full for the day. @allera, Thank you so much for your donation. We really appreciate it. If you would like to have your Ricky account with all of its domains and dns settings intact moved to Tommy I can run our new server transfer script for you. I can also delete your Tommy account if it's empty. You wouldn't have to do anything and all of the domains and dns would be good to go within a few hours as the old Ricky cached values time out.
allera Posted June 13, 2017 Author Posted June 13, 2017 @wolstech thanks for your fast response @Krydos Your welcome, glad to help, thanks to all heliohost/helionet team. Please proceed moving all my Ricky alexrym to Tommy and delete the new allera Tommy's account. Thanks in advance, and sorry again for my mistake.
Krydos Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 The account allera on Tommy has been deleted and the account alexrym has been transferred to Tommy. If you see a 404 error or something when you go to http://allera.heliohost.org/ that means your computer still has the old Ricky IP cached. You can try clearing it by using this command in windowsipconfig /flushdns Thanks for helping us test the server transfer script. If anything seems broken please let us know.
alexrym Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Thank you very much, everything is working as expected! Thanks again for your support!
