dobmkawe Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 I have this problem i cant connect to my db remotely I've put % in the host field$con=mysqli_connect("tommy.heliohost.org","DB_User","Db_Pass","Db_Name");but always i got a fail on connecting
wolstech Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Is there a specific error you are getting? Also, make sure you're using the full username. It will be in the form cpUsername_dbUsername. Did you assign the user to the database?
dobmkawe Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 yeah I put it that wayyeah I've assigned the user to database and gave it all privilegesno error message just cant connect to database
wolstech Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 You put the % in the host field on this page right? https://tommy.heliohost.org:2083/frontend/paper_lantern/sql/managehost.html It's showing the % in the access hosts list below the box? If so, I'm out of ideas. Moved to customer service. Maybe Byron or Krydos would know why this doesn't work.
Krydos Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 +-----------+---------------+ | host | user | +-----------+---------------+ | % | dobmkawe | | % | dobmkawe_najm | | localhost | dobmkawe | | localhost | dobmkawe_najm | +-----------+---------------+ Your remote mysql is set up correctly, and remote mysql definitely works on Tommy. My best guess is that port 3306 is probably blocked on your computer.
