newsd Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Hi, My cpanel id on stevie is newsd. I have requested the backup link, the tar.gz file downloaded is 45 bytes. Please check my backup so that I can retrieve the entire content. I have donated and got Tommy account created, I am planning to move the backup data to the new account. Thanks,Vamsee
Byron Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 These are the only backups we have: https://heliohost.org/backup/
wolstech Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 A 45 byte file is what you get when an account was not recoverable due to the hard disk damage. Unfortunately, a 45 byte file from the link Byron provided above me means your data is lost There are no plans for any further attempts at recovery due to the fact that the first attempt at such recovery was mostly unsuccessful. The hard drive in the server is simply too damaged to do anything with at this point. Even we can't do anything with it anymore. Once we can get someone to California, we plan to redisk the server and do a full software rebuild.
newsd Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 Hi, Any luck with Stevie's Hard Disk recovery? All my data since 2008 is lost . Please check if there is any feasibility to recover my data. Thanks in Advance,Vamsee Krishna.
Krydos Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 All of the backups from Stevie are located at https://www.heliohost.org/backup/ The final attempt to retrieve any additional information was over 8 months ago https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/27235-manual-backup-results/ You will need to use the backups that you've been taking on your personal computer since 2008.
