Our Terms of Service limits users to one account unless we approve otherwise. If we do approve, the second account will need to be on a different server (Johnny for now, though in theory you could ask for a Stevie account instead if you wait until he's repaired).

What's the reason you need a second account (please note that disk space is not an acceptable reason)?

I manage a website for a friend and want an account for myself as well.

Johnny is down often so I wanted to make a donation and switch to Tommy for my friend.

If you create an addon domain it will be separate from the rest of your domains. You can even create email addresses for them, and ftp accounts that can only access their addon domain.

Not necessarily. As long as the nameservers are ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org and the domain doesn't already exist in our system you can add it as an addon domain.

How do I set the nameservers?

The Wiki says this:

How can I create an Addon Domain?

After logging into your personal cPanel, click on the 'Addon Domains' button and fill in the details and submit the form. After that, navigate to your domain registrar's website and configure your domain with the following nameservers: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org The parked domain you have just setup will be be configured to reflect the 'Document Root' you specified.

But I cannot submit the form with domain mirandaterlaak.heliohost.org, I get a message saying:

(XID 2wx3pg) The domain “mirandaterlaak.heliohost.org” may not be created by “mirandat” because “heliohost.org” is already owned by another user.

At the registrar website. You need to own it and do it on the site of the registrar where you bought it.

If you need a free domain, you can get one ending in .tk or a few others from www.freenom.com
