mirandat Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Hi, I've uploaded index.html to my public_html directory but when I access my homepage (ylviareyn.heliohost.org) there is nothing there. I did ask for a domain name change through the script today, but I'll have to wait 48 hours. In the meanwhile I uploaded to my old domain name. Why is my website not showing? Thanks in advance.
bdistler Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 what is the 'other' domain name ? domain [ ylviareyn.heliohost.org ] has no current DNS information
mirandat Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 the other domain name is: sylviareyn.heliohost.org
bdistler Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 at URL [ http://sylviareyn.heliohost.org/ ] - I 'see' --> "Account Queued" and other stuff
Krydos Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Looks like it's working http://sylviareyn.heliohost.org/ For future reference it can take up to 24 hours for a main domain change or any new domain to start working.
mirandat Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 My site is down again, is there a problem with Johnny?I can't connect to ftp either.
wolstech Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Johnny is currently down due to what appears to be excessive load...http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ If you need stability, I'd recommend donating and switching to Tommy. If you look through the monitor history in the link above, Tommy's performance and uptime has been nearly perfect as opposed to Johnny's frequent slowness and downtime.
mirandat Posted January 10, 2017 Author Posted January 10, 2017 Hi, I opened an account on Tommy and it said my domain (sylviareyn.heliohost.org) was ready to go, so I uploaded my website using FTP which went fine. But my website is not showing when I go to it? Do I still have to wait a bit more?Nevermind, it works, I was too quick I apologize.
