nmart Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Dear admins, I am seeking explanation and little enlightment for current issues. Like other users, I am facing MySQL server downtime and concern over it. I am withnessing this as third time for 1 or 2 months. Is it problem for now or will the be a chance for continuity. Using Heliohost for setting up the site and will be using for next few more months but facing situation to moved out soon because of this issue. I really want to stick around here for the service and technical support from you guys. Hope to hear some explanation as I have requested. Noorul
wolstech Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I've been here 5 years, and Stevie MySQL has always crashed a lot. I think it's load-related, but Krydos would know for sure exactly why it crashes.
nmart Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 Thanks for the reply. I appreciate you.Does Postgres crashes too?
wolstech Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Postgres does not crash as far as I'm aware. Not too many use it though.
Krydos Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Stevie currently has 11,443 accounts. One user can crash MySQL for everyone. It happens occasionally. We do our best to keep everything online.
nmart Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 Thank you, Krydos. Please keep the good works for every one.Glad to get a response from you. I understand the large number of users and wish not complain. I am well satisfied with Stevie server up time. So far no issue for past months. I opt to move MySQL db to remote server. What's funny is that many free remote sql hosting reviews point to heliohost good. Unfortunately, not able to find a free remote mysql hosting, moving Web application to else where. I wish to continue stick around here with using Postgre and other tech. Cheers,Noor
