Login to user virtav says invalid.

 

Reset my password, still says invalid

This was a Canadian account it was emailed to and I also sent it to my yahoo address (BCC) and it arrived just fine.

You email account must be filtering them for some reason because these forum support emails come from the exact same ip with the exact same @heliohost.org extension. The only difference that I can think of is you sent a mail to support@heliohost.org first so your email isn't filtering those replies. To test this theory try sending an email to [deleted] and I'll reply the password back to you. Maybe that will prevent it from being filtered.

Happening AGAIN

The issue is you have the wrong password saved in your imap client. The system blocks you for an attempted brute force:

 

30 failed login attempts to account virtav (imap) -- Large number of attempts from this IP

 

Please fix the wrong password in the imap client. I have removed the block from your account. Let us know if you can log in now.

Thank you for trying to help.

1) Tried to login with last password given from reset

INVALID LOGIN

2) tried original known password

INVALID LOGIN

3) Tried online password reset

confirmation code received & entered OK

New password given

4) Tried new password

INVALID LOGIN



Please try and clear this and let me know

NEW or CURRENT PASSWORD to use

 

My IMAP settings were correct in my phone until this fiasco happened.

I didn't change anything.

Obviously though, SINCE the password reset, the TEMPORARY password no longer matches my IMAP accounts.

I can only resolve that when I once again get access to my helio account and revert the &*&&* password back to what it should be, used to be, always was, till this thing broke for reasons totally unknown to me. I have lost weeks of emails so far.

Once again you were blocked for brute force attempt:

30 failed login attempts to account virtav (imap) -- Large number of attempts from this IP: 31.50.135.174

I can clear the block over and over all day, but what's the point if you (or your phone) keep trying to log in with the wrong password? The block has been cleared again.
