Tjoene Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 That IP is indeed blocked: # FTP 202 connections - Sat Aug 13 20:29:34 2016 An admin will unblock it.
Krydos Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 You're unblocked. What do you use so many FTP connections for? 10 hours and 200 connections is an average of one connection every 3 minutes.
dl5ark1 Posted August 15, 2016 Author Posted August 15, 2016 I use FTP to upload data from my weather station. Please can you whitelist my USER, because the IP is an DHCP IP address.
Krydos Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I use FTP to upload data from my weather station.Cool, I figured it was something like that. Please can you whitelist my USER, because the IP is an DHCP IP address. You're already white listed. It's not currently possible to white list by username, but you can just let us know if your IP changes.
wolstech Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 In fact, it's changed 3 times since you posted this topic...every one of your posts is from a different IP. @Krydos: What can we can do about this aside from recommending he move the weather station to a static IP?
Krydos Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Would it be possible the route your ftp connection through a static IP proxy? If you're curious, in the last week you've connected to FTP from 66 different ip addresses.
dl5ark1 Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 I do not know any FTP Proxy and i think it is not secure to use such a Proxy because my Username and Password will be transmitted in clear text.
Krydos Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I made some modifications to our firewall. Let us know if you get blocked again.
