Krydos
Dedicated IP granted.
msnyder
Hi, I see there is a dedicated IP. Is there anything else I need to do because if I use https://www.receipestation.com I get the following: Ahoy! You're seeing this page because HelioHost has not gotten about to installing and configuring your account yet. This process usually takes about 24 hours, and once it is complete your website should show up properly. While the account is being created we suggest taking a look at your control panel. thanks. Krydos
How long ago did you install the certificate?
msnyder
Hi, I wondered about a certificate. This is something I am not familiar with and learning. Is it something can create a self signed certificate or need to purchase? Where are they installed? Do I need to post these questions in a different forum? Thanks for any help and direction. wolstech
You can use either. Self signed one will make your visitors see security warnings though, so you're better off buying it. It's installed in cpanel by copy and pasting the contents of the files if I remember right.
Krydos
I think the problem must be with how the SSL certificate was installed. There is a record in httpd.conf for port 80 (nonssl) but there isn't a record for port 443 (ssl) which should have been created when the certificate was installed. Try installing it again and let me know when you're done and I can check the configuration again.
msnyder
I installed a self-signed certificate because I am the only one using this as testing when I have time. It said successful install but I still get the message above. I don't care about the warning I get first and just click the link to go to the site.
