alhadith Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 username = wikinetdomain= wiki-net.tkaccount type = stevie hello.... my site wiki-net.tk has a sub-domain site queries.wiki-net.tk & it is a forum that requires mysql. it was working fine. but now when i visit it the browser says "Could not establish database connection". i didn't change anything. on going to control panel, the phpmyadmin also doesn't work and displays a blank page on entering the username/password. please fix the mysql issue....thanks
wolstech Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Your database users need to be deleted and recreated. You can do that here: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/sql/index.html (Make sure the password for the new user matches what's in the configuration file for your software). Change your cPanel password to fix PhpMyAdmin. You can do that here: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/passwd/index.html
alhadith Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Your database users need to be deleted and recreated. You can do that here: http://stevie.helioh.../sql/index.html (Make sure the password for the new user matches what's in the configuration file for your software). Change your cPanel password to fix PhpMyAdmin. You can do that here: http://stevie.helioh...sswd/index.html this issue is happening again....i repeated the above procedure....but it didn't work......i checked database name/user privileges [as the browser says].....they are correct.....what to do now?
wolstech Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 The databases are probably invisible. What's the name of the database?
alhadith Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 The databases are probably invisible. What's the name of the database? database name is wikinet_qa and user name is also wikinet_qa
Krydos Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 The database wikinet_qa should now be visible to your root mysql account. You may need to delete, recreate, and reassign permissions to any database users that should have access to the affected database. If phpmyadmin doesn't log in properly or you don't see the database there change your account password and this should sync up the mysql/cpanel passwords. Let us know if you're still having any issues accessing your data.
alhadith Posted October 26, 2015 Author Posted October 26, 2015 its working now..i hope the database thing remains stable from now on.....thanks...
Krydos Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 i hope the database thing remains stable from now on.....thanks...MySQL on Johnny hasn't crashed a single time in the last 5 months since we applied this same fix. We have no reason to believe that Stevie will be any different. 1
