leonardobuares Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 ns2.heliohost.org dns doesnt accept my domain .com.br, what to do?it is lbuares.com.brns1.heliohost.org seems accept normally
yashrs Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That is because ns2.heliohost.org is down most of the time. I haven't seen it working for several months now. Anyway, your website should be fine with just one nameserver.
leonardobuares Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Maybe but, www.registro.br doesn't let me use only Master, it needs at least one Slave. And my website is "queued" since 3 days ago, i don't know what to do..
wolstech Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Set your main domain to your .com.br domain, then set an A record with the shared IP address (which can be found on the left side in cPanel) at your registrar.
leonardobuares Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Thank you guys, i had problems with domains .com.br last year and i didnt remember how i did to fix it, but i think what wolstech said will help me, when i fix it i will be back.
Pan Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 What wolstech said will work, that's what I do on my own .com.br. Open both your heliohost cPanel and your account at Registro.br.Take note of the Shared IP Address on left sidebar at Heliohost's cpanel. Now, on registro.br go to your domain and click on "Editar Zona". Here you'll add an A record with your domain only (don't type any subdomain there) and the server IP. If you're planning on using subdomains you can either add more A records, now filling the subdomain field (the "wth why?" messy solution) or change the type of record to CNAME—in this case you'll type the subdomain, switch to CNAME, then on "Nome do Servidor" type your main .com.br domain. Don't forget to save the changes, big green button next to +Record and stuff after you added records. It can take up to 48 hours to propagate the changes, if I remember it right.
