mazix Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I want to attach a registered domain name to my heliohost.org account. The domain name at the registrar is configured with nameserver1 = ns1.heliohost.org , nameserver1 = ns2.heliohost.org . I created the addon dommain in heliohost.org : cocbonds-noisok.org /public_html/CoCBonds-NoIsOk.org cocbonds-noisok not redirected NS lookup now gets :A 64.62.211.131MX 0 cocbonds-noisok.org.CNAME No CNAME record found.NS ns1.heliohost.org.ns2.heliohost.org.PTR No PTR record found.SOA ns1.heliohost.org. ashoat.gmail.com2013102403 43200 7200 1209600 86400 The heliohost.org file manager shows that the root for this website has an index.htm :Name Size Last Modified Type Permscgi-bin 4 KB Today 10:25 AM httpd/unix-directory 0755index.htm 98.58 KB Today 10:33 AM text/html 0644NoIsOk.htm 98.58 KB Today 10:33 AM text/html 0644 But the heliohost.org server is presenting an account queued page instead of the index.htm at the direct domain url :http://cocbonds-nois...aultwebpage.cgiHelioHost Account QueuedAhoy! You're seeing this page because HelioHost has not gotten about to installing and configuring your account yet. This process usually takes 24 hours, and once it is complete your website should show up properly. While the account is being created we suggest taking a look at your control panel. The subdomain created as a byproduct of the addonon domain attachment serves up the correct index.htm.cocbonds-noisok.mazix.heliohost.org /public_html/CoCBonds-NoIsOk.org not redirectedThat works fine. Why the account queued page instead of the active website (index.htm) at the direct domain name url ?
kyoushuu Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 When did you add your domain? Adding domains are queued too, and usually takes up to 24 hours.
mazix Posted October 24, 2013 Author Posted October 24, 2013 When did you add your domain? Adding domains are queued too, and usually takes up to 24 hours. The addon domain was added today (~10am CDT). Is there a way to have the domain redirect to the subdomain temporarily ... until the queued addon is complete ?
Ice IT Support Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Unfortunately there is not currently. However, that functionality could possibly be implemented in the future.
mazix Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 > [solved] Addon Dom Not Active The direct url is still getting the account queued page instead of the active website. So, it's not "Solved". It's been 24hrs since the addon was configured in cpanel. What next ?
mazix Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/17276-solved-addon-dom-not-active/ a. your HelioHost username = mazixb. the server your account is on = johnnyc. your HelioHost main domain = mazix.heliohost.org The addon dom cocbonds-noisok.org is still queued.
Krydos Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 The domain mazix.heliohost.org appears to be working fine, and cocbonds-noisok.org looks like everything is set up correctly as of the time of this post. I recommend waiting another 24 hours without changing anything from the time of this post and if it's still showing queued let us know. Sometimes Johnny accounts can take a little longer than 24 hours to come out of queued status due to higher server load. The solved flag just means that Heliohost staff knows that there isn't anything more than can be done on this issue. If the issue still isn't resolved 24 hours from now the solved flag can easily be removed.

Never mind ...Clearing the cache corrected the issue ; it's there now. Thanks Never mind ...Clearing the cache corrected the issue ; it's there now.
