njindal11 Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I have developed my web application using netbeans and Tomcat. It is working fine on my local host but when i upload .war file on heliohost, it does not work. Please suggest me a way to run and host my web application
Shinryuu Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Would be nice to, you know, have a look-see at how "it does not work" rather than have people guess at it and breaking what doesn't need fixing. Also, the way java requests work is: you ask for it, an admin adds you to the queue and you wait 24 hrs from that time, you just requested java 15 minutes before posting this, please be patient.
njindal11 Posted November 17, 2012 Author Posted November 17, 2012 Thanks for the reply Shinryu..Actually i thought if i get my answer to this query as well then i would upload only war file instead of each and every file separately.i guess war file should run automatically once java is enabled for my account .It has been over 24 hours but still Java is not enabled....Hope it will get done soon
wolstech Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 It has been over 24 hours but still Java is not enabled....Hope it will get done soonAn admin hasn't responded to your Java request yet. http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/13987-request-for-java-jindal89/ Usually, an admin replies to your Java request when they add you to the queue. It takes up to 24 hours from the time they reply for Java to work.
njindal11 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 thanks wolstack for the information...It means i have to wait a lot before it gets started..
njindal11 Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 I have java enabled for my account but still i am not able to deploy my .war File. When i try to access it from public directory , it gives option to download that file. Please help me guys...
Krydos Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 If you would like to deploy a .war file follow these steps:Create your account on Johnny http://www.heliohost.org/home/create-johnny-accountRequest Java to be enabled on your account http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/74-java-requests/Wait patiently and keep your account active, because Java can only be enabled on a finite number of account at a time, and you must wait in line to have it enabled. It can take up to a month to get Java enabled depending on how many other people are in line ahead of you.Once Java is enabled on your account upload your .war file to your home directory. Ex: /home/username/MyProject.warRequest to have the .war file deployed by creating a new topic in Customer Service http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/45-customer-service/
