  1. Yeah, I wanted to tripple boot and I thought about it, but I think I get off to the control center type thing with three screens from 3 different computers arround my face. I'd use them to divide up what Iam doing, probably chatting on one, doing work on another, and just watching a movie or doing something else on another. That would be so cool. I know how to dual boot, but yeah I know if you want to use mac and win, mac is the only way to go. I'm gonna go to a friends house sometime this year (because I have dialup) and downlaod a Linux for download. I'm really thinking about Fedora, what do you think would be good for a nerdy programmer who likes to learn the hard way arround with out all the easy shortcuts and automators? I like lots of manual control.
  2. nope, I'm at my firiends hose some times and they download a movie in like 30 minutes whereas it would take me about 36 hours : (
  3. no, no, I meant the other way around, they pay on paypal, and then you don't give them helions.
  4. Outkast - Mrs Jackson As far as rap goes, these guys stand out. I'm ok with rap, but Andre3000 is an excellent lyricist and seems to make his songs mean something : ) Like, it's not just party music.
  5. She doesn't want to set it up or have someone do it for us either. She doesn't want it because we're on an unlimited usage plan and she doesn't need the speed anyway.
  6. I was actually thinking of buying 3 computers at some point in my life just for compatibility and convenience; Mac 10.6, XPMCE, and maybe Fedora 7. Though this may not necessarily be what they are best for, here is how I would divide up the purpose: Business and Play: Win Media and Personal: Mac Technological Work: Nix
  7. you could always do outside trading with paypal, but theres no way to guarantee someone will pay
  8. yeah, but my mom is too lazy and doesn't want to : /
  9. yeah, it usually takes me about 6-9 months after one gets stolen to buy a new one, my computer was probably stolen this moment exactly a year ago, and I oly got this computer back in March. Since I have dial up, I was thinking of downloading a really big file (pretty much any on dial up) l would then leave MSN on and have one of my IRL friends call me if they saw me go off line. I would have my account on the user screen but not logged out.
  10. yeah, I tried it just as a test but they all failed, which I thought was really weird : / it hasn't failed me but once today for about 30 minutes.
  11. I told djbob about it, I mainly just wanted to know if this happens to anyone else. I'm guessing its my service : /
  12. Oh yeah, I know about installing things manually and I can do it, I just have dial up so Fantastico is very good for me
  13. Infected Mushroom - Acid Killer They make pretty good trip music.
  14. I have never used either. What would you recommend? I'm not sure what it means but I hear speak of Ubuntu not using proper methods because it uses its own because its a build off of Debian (I think thats the name).
  15. haha, just do it when a girl obsessed with her myspace is there, don't tell her what you did, just tell her you fixed it
  16. I'm almost certain its my neighbors. but I live in a good town but my area isn't very friendly and they knew we were gone after just a couple of days so they must have been nearby to know that my mom got arrested. They seem like opportunists, and my computer will probably be taken July 3rd (independence day, yes I know thats not the right date) so I have to figure out somewhere to hide it, or we can just take it in the car to the bridge-park celebration. If I'm not responsive after a few days after July 4th, you know why, and djbob you can cancel everything I have going, it wouldn't be fair to you.
  17. Yeah, if you did it enough, yo could get a year of plus hosting for just 1000 posts, or any time span of hosting, they would never need to post again to raise suspicion. I'm not exactly sure if djbob goes from account to account on a daily bases checking all the numbers to see if they add up.
  18. You're probably doing this in the best interest as a good honest person, but if someone sees this they could easily do what you did on purpose and not tell djbob unless he manually checks every account
  19. If you don't know what that is or need a recommendation, I find SmartFTP simple and easy to use, it was my first and I never had the need to look into anything else because it did what I needed. What do you use?
  20. I'm not sure if it's just my ISP or what, but at random times for a while helionet.org cannot be found by Firefox AOL or IE. Is it just me? Anything I can do about it? Sometimes I'll be in the middle of reading the forums and when I click to read a topic or whatever the server cannot be found. I am using AOL's dialup service, and usually browse with FF. EDIT: Unless it's random as well, skipping the DNS and directly going to the IP worked at a 100% success rate for me (so far) where as just reloading the domain works at about 1%.
  21. Pretty cool. You use a developer or text compiler? I like to do things like that, I make stuff that is impossible to decrypt (to original form) good for custom algorithm passwords.
  22. Ha, slightly off topic, most forums' internet talk I see most people hate Ubuntu, I hear many good things about Fedora though.
  23. hahaha, next year I'm gonna make so many myspace girls cry and freak out... hey, do you think this could get arround school security if you edited a certain part : / My school uses symantec, it blocks sites with a certain number of keywords and it blocks certain domains.
  24. A trusted script installer probably wouldn't install unstable versions so if/when it gets it it will probably be safe.
  25. oh, of course. well in that case, I liked the oldie ones the best and I do think this series should justs top, they are way past their prime. Though it was not a direct part of the series, FF Mystic Quest was an excellent game.
