    Perhaps we could upgrade to PHP 5.3, instead of installing the extension. Normally, there shouldn't be any problems for the users when upgrading to 5.3. http://www.php.net/manual/en/migration53.incompatible.php

    phpMyAdmin shouldn't be causing any problems. It works completely independent from MySQL. It is just a tool to manage the databases. The database error could be the result from a load spike on the server part. Mostly, those problem should fix them self after a while. And like Sove said, an admin will need to take a look into upgrading it.

    Have you tried to reset your password? If that doesn't work, then we can reset your password for you. Once your back in control of your account, then you can restore a backup for your site.

    Perhaps you can ask in the Custom Service section if you may know what causes the high load. So an admin can reply to it. I can't tell you, because I don't have access to that information.
