  1. Okay, it's not our servers, it's seems to be just you at the moment, my personal Website is working fine.

I'm not even getting a 500 error just a "Server stopped responding" which leads me to believe it's an error with your domain.

Please create a new topic entitled "Domain problem" or something to that degree and wait for an admin to escalate it.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, I have no access to the physical servers.

  2. For future reference @genesis, most 500 errors are caused by either file permissions or .htaccess errors.

If you upload over SFTP, the file permissions are changed from 644 to something else. You must change these back to 644.

After you have done this, if you still get a 500 error, rename your .htaccess to something else. If the website then works, you know it's a problem with your .htaccess.

  3. This isn't silly at all, in fact many people have been asking. When we get some more disk space and the new Lily server, we are going to offer the chance for people to buy more space. The exchange rate is $5 for 1000MB of space.

  4. Okay thank you! I've chosen Ubuntu. I'm currently trying to duel boot it first off to see whether I actually like it or if it even works.

Do you have any tips: Security, good applications? What extension (Windows .exe) etc does Linux use and is it highly compatible with web software. Such as GitHub or other things like Python?
