  1. It's alright... that "/pub/" folder is just a placeholder for serverwide anonymous access. None of your actual files can be seen.
  2. Can you please provide your domain?
  3. The host is "localhost". For the database stuff, go through the MySQL Database Wizard in your cPanel.
  4. The ads are still not working. Currently I am trying to figure out how to make an iFrame with a remote source disappear if it has no content... if I can get that working I can get ads up again.
  5. Is it just your site, or are you not able to access any sites hosted on HelioHost (ie. can you access HelioNet when your site is down)? Try the site with or without the www prefix, depending on what you currently do. You mean a 404 error for server not found, right? If so, could you please try a DNSStuff domain diagnostics test and show me what comes up?
  6. For installing web applications you'll need to know how to use FTP, how to CHMOD through FTP, and how to setup a SQL account. I think other than that everything's relatively simple. cPanel has a wizard for MySQL accounts, but you'll need to download an FTP client and lookup CHMOD'ing. I recommend SmartFTP for your client. If you use Fantastico the whole process will be automated. No catch
  7. Sorry, but we only allow Perl or Python scripts as CGI. Allowing execution of C++ applications would be a huge security risk.
  8. Oops... I didn't realize ShannenName started this topic, so I thought he was coming in and asking questions for peterpan in order to up his Helions. My mistake. First of all, I need to make sure your account either has some hosted content or is a forum-posting-based one. If the ads aren't being shown, then we aren't able to pay for your account. Please PM me to make sure you satisfy those conditions, and I'll help you out.
  9. I don't see the relevance of your question. Are you actually in this situation, or are you just racking up posts?
  10. scgi-bin? Try putting it in cgi-bin.
  11. Apparently some resource required for the running of your webpage is on your local server but not on HelioHost's server. I would recommend checking this out on an ASP.NET support site. Be sure to mention that you are running mod_mono for Apache.
  12. Can you please PM your hosting username?
  13. I'm not sure, to be honest.
  14. I've flushed the hosts, see if it works now.
  15. It's probably abuse of some sort. I'll take a look at it.
  16. Sturailmembership.org isn't even registered. "You must already have a .com, .net, or .org domain registered if you want to use it for hosting." READ THE DIRECTIONS NEXT TIME.
  17. You can only run ASP.NET files from the root (the public_html folder). If you want to use the other URL, I would recommend either using mod_rewrite for that or just using an include from the root.
  18. What URL are you accessing the cPanel from?
  19. That would mean that I am obligated to support the paid hosting. Furthermore, it might be hard managing the finances. And finally, that would make me cobranded. I can consider the idea, but at this time I don't think it's going to happen.
  20. I'm not upgrading until I'm at least making a profit in my current situation.
  21. Yes. Use the "Account Status" button in your cPanel. It has a HelioHost logo.
  22. If you want to donate money for me to do that, sure. I'm losing enough money on this as it is, without the ads system in place and all.
  23. You're just supposed to send that item to me. In fact, it is impossible to "use" it... are you sure you were registering a domain?
  24. Then he should use localhost.
  25. Works for me.
