  1. How is it reliable? Again, based on the law of conservation of energy it can be proven that we can't gain energy from using manufactured anti-matter, and it is known that there is not a large enough amount of antimatter on Earth right now. The only physically possible way to even get energy from anti-matter would be to send some sort of spaceship over to Jupiter and harvest antimatter, and then take it back to Earth. This could prove detrimental to Jupiter and would definitely be much harder than just harvesting deuterium and tritium for nuclear fusion. It's scientifically impossible. There is no feasible way to get energy from antimatter.
  2. Hmm... I never experienced such problems. Oh well - to each his own
  3. We don't offer MS SQL... sorry. You'll need to convert to either MySQL or PostgreSQL. Try exporting your MS SQL database, and then try importing it as a MySQL database. Since MS SQL's syntax is stricter, MySQL should be alright in importing. There might be some differences though - you'll have to deal with those.

They will be global. Responsibilities include: Moderating discussions.Providing HelioHost support. You will be assigned a list of accounts. You have to check each account at least once every week to make sure there is no content breaking the ToS and that they are not abusing system resources.
  5. >_< The signup confirmation message tells you to wait at least 24 hours. Let's do some math! 8 < 24 Looks like you'll have to wait a little longer.
  6. Sorry, but no we don't. I'll put that in the upgrade list for Stevie's installation. PS: You don't need any points for accounts anymore. Just signup for an "ad-based" account - it doesn't actually have ads anymore
  7. I really don't get what people have against Windows Vista. I agree that it's not a very good upgrade, but it's really not that bad. Linux fanboys tend to be extremely biased about anything Microsoft. I prefer the objective look - I know which platform fits what purpose better. I use Linux for server admin because it has much more functionality and is more cost-efficient for my purposes. However, I use Windows for my desktop OS. It has more compatible applications and is easier to use.
  8. Why is it undeniable? I don't see how this could possibly work.
  9. Lol... I guess it makes sense. The newest versions for Linux/Apache are still free though, right?
  10. You'll need to install MySQL server on your computer. I'm not sure, but I think MySQL is only available on Linux. You'll need to setup remote access on your computer to HelioHost. If you use a router, you'll need to do a port forward of the MySQL port (generally 3306) over to the computer running the MySQL server.

I'll try to remember to check this out when I get home. Did you Google it, by any chance?
  12. Again, we're not far away - it's just not a feasible idea. It is scientifically impossible to gain energy from antimatter we artifically create. As for harvesting it from Jupiter, maybe... but still it is very unlikely to be a feasible energy source.

The httpd down you can ignore - it likes to say that randomly when it is up. You can confirm httpd's status by just loading a page. httpd is Apache, the web server. If it is down then only cPanel will be working. As for the server load, it's not that bad - that load is 0.1 away from a green light. The server load is a very slowly refreshing indicator. The easiest indicator of server speed is just comparing load times for a PHP/MySQL script. You can use http://www.helionet.org for comparison - any time the main page takes more than .5 seconds to load (see status bar at the bottom of the page) there is a problem. Does the remote MySQL work now, by any chance?
  14. Hmm, I was under the impression that cPanel used a port other than the default. My bad.

Then that's definitely a no. Untrusted certificates result in an "alert" from most browsers that makes us seem less secure than if we just didn't use a certificate.
  16. Close, but I believe you also have to have a port number in there. The "$dbhost" value needs to be "heliohost.org:3306".
  17. Actually, I didn't. Although I twisted what you said in my last post, my first "twist" was completely honest. When you said nuclear fusion was impossible currently, I thought you meant we aren't able to do it, not that we aren't able to do it with a net gain of energy. I pointed out ITER because it sounded cooler than JET, but JET is proof as well. So I revise my statement: your facts are fine, but you need to work on presenting them better.
  18. Now now Kyougi, don't you know PHP has case sensitive functions?
  19. If you want to get into details... You said nuclear fusion was impossible. It is indeed possible. Examples: the Sun, a hydrogen bomb, the JET experimental reactor. QED
  20. I have deleted your old account. Sign up again, making sure you only pick a TLD if you own it.
  21. Try it from Fantastico.
  22. Personally, I don't like Dreamweaver. It's really not that helpful, in my opinion. I use phpDesigner for most PHP work, but sometimes I use vim instead, usually for smaller things.
