  1. This answer is decentralized, as many people have written it, but these topics and comments already exist. The answer I know: The account will be deleted once when the administrator installs Plesk. This will cause a few days down. Tommy will soon be down. Next is Ricky, then Johnny. It is foretold that this work will take days. Tommy users have already received an email from HelioHost. It has a link where you can download the backup. Everything that cPanel managed is there. Of course, you can back up using SFTP before you receive the email. If you are using something other than Tommy, you still have days to back up. Details of 2 items so far: HelioHost chose Plesk because it can be installed on Lily, which runs Windows Server. This almost eliminates other options. Root administrators and moderators may provide a little more information on this. Details: Yes. That is the correct: "Free hosting for everyone." This should not change. However, I also know that HelioHost is considering new options. It will be revealed soon. (already have a $4 VPS option) Details:

  2. One of the clauses in the contract I signed with Plesk stipulates that they have to give us 30 days prior written warning if they want to revoke our licenses. They seem really excited to supply the non-profit licenses for us though so that probably won't happen.

  3. Thanks. I went to create a cloudflare account and changed the nameservers and A record there. Also changed the nameservers at my domain registrar to point to the cloudflare's nameservers. It should take some time to see the change, but I guess I figured it out.

  4. No, you don't. You can use any DNS service you want for your VPS. Actually right now I recommend using external DNS such as through Cloudflare or through your domain registrar. Both of our nameservers run cPanel too so they will need to be rebuilt which means we will have some downtime on our nameservers as well over the next couple weeks.

  5. Thank you! I had some trouble finding where things were at first, because there were some folders that looked like the right ones but had very little inside. In case this helps anyone else, here's where you look: The static website files are inside cpmove-[YOUR_USERNAME]\homedir\public_html The database (SQL) backups are inside cpmove-[YOUR_USERNAME]\mysql

  6. I also like that Plesk uses nginx which is 3 times faster than apache.
