It's worth noting however that IE8 on Windows XP is horribly outdated now. Firefox and Chrome on XP, and all current browsers on all newer desktop OSes support SNI, as do all recent iOS and Android devices. Unless you're building something that's expected to be used by lots of users with old PCs, or you have other reasons to want a dedicated IP (availability, etc.), you likely don't need it.1 point
