That's an odd one. I see that you've started the account creation process, but the email field is empty. I'll escalate your thread so an administrator can look into this.

Wondering if there is an issue with signups. While I have been able to select Johnny within the window before it closes, I get an endless 'validating email' spinning logo. This appears even before I've been given the opportunity to provide an email. Are the free accounts available any more? I can't sign up if the system won't provide a form to fill in... Thanks, Dustin

You can move to Morty instead to avoid the inactivity requirement if you want. That server replaces the activity requirement with a $1/month fee instead. Otherwise, as above, this requirement has been the same for 15+ years. Not sure where you read the incorrect information you have, but the instructions in Unknown025's post are correct. The only thing that avoids suspension for inactivity aside from paying for Morty is to log in at https://heliohost.org/login/ once every 30 days. Email use, FTP, web traffic etc. does not count as activity. Also, for the support and reminder emails not working, it's because you unsubscribed. If you unsubscribe from any of our emails, you will receive NO emails from us, with the sole exception of Terms of Service update notices (which are required for legal reasons). That means you can't use email support and won't receive inactivity reminders. Do you want me to resubscribe you so you can use support and you're alerted prior to inactivity suspension next time?
-
I don't know where you heard that creating a website will prevent you from being suspended, or that support@heliohost.org has been deactivated, neither of those are true. The only way to prevent being suspended for inactivity is to log in once a month at https://heliohost.org/login/. We've had this system in place for many years, and it hasn't changed since the time you signed up in 2024. As a courtesy, I've renewed your account for you, but you'll need to remember to login yourself to keep your account active.

I access this service daily, mainly for email forwarding. Then this nonsense about inactivity started... They told me that if I created a website, this service interruption would no longer occur... I created an aggregator website and nothing changed... Then your stupid system simply stops working. I can no longer receive my emails and I have to try a renewal procedure that doesn't work – it's faulty / bug... The yellow wheel keeps spinning for hours, as if it were renewing the account. But in reality it does nothing, it's just a simulation. Why don't you fix this? People who sign up to use your service do so because they need to, not because it's a good thing... For those who access email servers every day, it's absurd to receive inactivity messages or have to try a procedure that doesn't work – every time I need to write an email... And now the email address support@heliohost.org has been deactivated. It's something like: don't contact them, write in the forums, etc... They should use your time for something more useful and not to create problems for people...

I've added that domain to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain change to take effect, and it will not work until you set up your DNS with your domain registrar. To configure your DNS, please see the steps provided on our Wiki to either set NS records pointed at the HelioHost nameservers, or create A/AAAA records and point them to your server's IPv4/IPv6 address: https://wiki.helionet.org/Addon_Domains#Custom_Addon_Domains If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache

I've removed your full name from the post subject and changed it to 'Add Domain' to better reflect what the request was for. I've also removed your email address from your post for privacy reasons. All we need to know is your HelioHost username and the new domain you'd like to add. Admins can view the email address associated with your forum account, and that helps us locate your hosting account when you post from your forum account. 🙂 I've added that domain to your account for you. Reverse DNS set. In order to send emails to an inbox you'll likely need to set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC which are need to be set on your DNS. Since you're using Porkbun DNS you'll need to set these records yourself. Let us know if you're having trouble figuring any of that out.
