If you use external DNS, Cloudflare is a popular free option, you can manage your DNS yourself, and add domains entirely without admin help. We don't mind helping you with DNS records, but it definitely isn't required to use our nameservers for a domain that isn't helioho.st or heliohost.us if you don't want to.

Hello, admins: I installed hestia panel, and while doing it, yesterday I updated the nameservers on my namecheap account as instructed in the wiki. And it also says that I should ask for DNS configuration to admins. So, could you please, configure DNS for the following domain: tfapp.space I will try to generate the let's encrypt certificate for my hestia cp, and the access will be through: vps.tfapp.space I do not know if this is needed but I read that the records need to be created before generating the certificate. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with let's encrypt by now, because I saw that I can reissue the certificate using namecheap, but right now it is showing me errors, so I will have to wait for their support to answer me. Again, thanks a lot

I've added that domain to your account for you and removed the one you didn't need anymore. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain changes to take effect, and the new domain added it will not work until you set up your DNS with your domain registrar. There are actually 3 accounts associated with you this time (two of which are the luisgalvan and backupchiquipoli accounts you've been allowed to keep already). Did you or someone you know create a third account without contacting support for permission? Also, did you at any point use a VPN to access your accounts?

If you have the certificate file (and matching key file), you can likely install that instead of Lets Encrypt. Not sure how you do that on Hestia, but I'd imagine there's an option or guide for it. It should work provided the certificate is not expired and the common name and subject alternative names (SANs) are correct (the domain/subdomain you're securing needs to appear in one of those fields on the certificate unless its a wildcard certificate). A domain's certificate is sent to the browser by whatever server is serving that domain, so you'll need to install the PositiveSSL cert on your VPS if you want to use it once your (sub)domain is pointed to your VPS.

Hello, dev pals: I am having an issue trying to find some info about what to do next with my domain and its ssl/tls certificate. Here's the situation: I got a VPS, and I like to thinker with things on my own, like reading, researching, no-AI help, old school, and I found out that installing Hestia was not that hard using their autoinstaller, but now, when I get to the part of activating the ssl certificate with the command they provide: v-add-letsencrypt-host, I realized the domain I already own, has its own certificate from PositiveSSL. To access Hestia CP, since it is going to have a subdomain to my own domain, do I really have to activate the let's encrypt certificate, or can I just let it use the one I already own?
