That behavior is pretty normal for users on any plan that isn't Morty or a VPS. It's caused by Apache restarting to load new configurations: https://wiki.helionet.org/502_Bad_Gateway It happens approximately every 2 hours and lasts several minutes.

Sometimes I get error 502. Why? Is there a fix? www.smettoquandovoglio.org

Why did you unsubscribe from our emails? Was it a mistake? Why did you expect to get an email after telling us you didn't want to receive any emails anymore?
-
Interesting that paypal's email didn't deliver, but I did find out why you never got the warning...you unsubscribed from our emails (perhaps the recent phishing PSA email we sent?), which stops all email including billing and service related emails. I re-subscribed you so you'll get the email next month.
-
Thanks, the VPS is back up. The mails were indeed not received -- yours and Paypal's normally land in the inbox and the spambox was clean. I will be attentive for what happens next month. Thanks again and best regards.

Thank you dear @Krydos for your swift response. The reason to add all the ip4 and ip6 numbers is just for redundancy. I realised that when Johnny crashed and my account was moved to Morty, already then the SPF, DMARC and DKIM records which were setup for Johnny) were not effective anymore when on Morty. And since my account has been moved from Morty to Morty2, "v=spf1 ip4:65.19.154.93 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::1011 include:_spf.google.com include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all" is perfect. )) Leaves us with DMARC and DKIM settings. Kindly waiting for an update on those settings. Kind regards and thank you very much.

Domain added. It can take up to 2 hours to start working.

You can actually do this yourself. Log into your account at https://heliohost.org/login/ -> Continue to Plesk->Click your username in the upper right corner->Edit Profile. Please note that once you change the email, it can take several hours for systems to sync up before it becomes effective for our website/dashboard. If you use your forum account, please note that it will also need to be manually changed in your forum profile. If you're unable to change your email address for some reason, please let us know and an admin can manually update it for you.

[HH#104205] Heliohost Compatibility with my script
wolstech replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
1. Yes, but the load of running something continuously often gets users suspended for excessive resource usage on the Johnny and Tommy plans. If you plan to run something continuously, Morty account might be be a better choice because there's no risk of the load getting you suspended, and the server is a LOT faster than Tommy. 2. Yes as long as the remote end is using a standard port number like 80 or 443. 3. Python 3.9 and 3.12 on Tommy. Johnny and Morty have 3.9 and 3.14 instead. 4. Can't do it yourself, but you can request we install them assuming they're reasonable. We don't support any modules that need a UI/desktop installed. 5. Depends on language used and how its launched. Its possible to start a process that never exits, but if you're planning to do this, I would suggest a Morty plan as above because the load might get you suspended. You can see more details about Python on our wiki: https://wiki.helionet.org/Python_Tutorial Including links to see installed modules, how to request modules, etc. -
Username: N/A, Server: N/A, Main Domain: N/A Hi, I'm interested in the Tommy plan. Before I donate $2, I have a few questions: 1. Can I run a continuous Python script (while True loop) that polls an external API every 90 seconds? 2. Do you allow outbound HTTPS requests to external APIs? 3. What Python version is available? 4. Can I pip install Python packages like requests? 5. Is there a process time limit for running scripts? Thanks.

Dear support team, dear @Krydos and @wolstech, Last week I moved from Johnny to the paid plan on Morty. All my domains are now on Morty. Since then I received complaints from other people that e-mails sent by me to them, are moved to their spam folder. Today I did check Mail-Tester.com for all my domains in my account. Results for all of them: 6/10. I found out that: 1) DKIM (minus -3): signature is not valid 2) DMARC: there is no DMARC record. 3) SPF (minus -1): the domain does not allow 65.19.154.93 to use e-mail address 65.19.154.93 = morty2.heliohost.org When I use the tool https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#TXT/, no txt files are found related to the domains in my account. That means that DKIM, DMARC and SPF are not configured for the domains in my account. In Plesk, the setting “Use DKIM spam protection system to sign outgoing email messages” has been enabled for all domains in my account. Also “Active DKIM selector” has been set to “default (Plesk Default)”. So those settings are good, but nevertheless not effective/operational at all. I have experienced this problem two years ago when the domains were on Johnny. You then added SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for me on the DNS. This is something I can’t do myself via the Plesk platform/interface. If necessary, I can provide you the url's of those postings on the forum. Can you therefore please be so kind to set the following values for ALL domains in my account that are on Morty: SPF: “SPF: v=spf1 a mx ip4:65.19.154.93 ip4:65.19.154.94 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::1011 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::3004 include:_spf.google.com include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all” DKIM: Plesk value, activated on the corresponding domain DMARC: default value, activated on the corresponding domain Regarding “smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all”, the following. Please include it. In some cases it is very practical for me and it saves me time for making an alias e-mail each time on Plesk. I can do it quickly in Outlook in case I need to send an e-mail through the mx-server of Ziggo from a on Heliohost hosted domain name as the sender. Since the domain name itself is hosted on Heliohost, there will always be a sfp query on the mx-server at Heliohost even if the outbound e-mail is send through the mx-server of Ziggo. Thank you. 🙂 Please confirm when these settings on Heliohost’s DNS have been applied. After that update, all emails should have a 10/10 again on Mail-Tester.com. Kind regards and thank you very much.

Looks like VPS130. Our system shows that a warning was sent on the ninth. If you didn't receive it, please check your spam folder. You can recover your VPS within 30 days after it gets shut down. To do that, please pay using this link. https://heliohost.org/vps/pay/?code=mwj0V03Fy0bsgbkB (this link is specific to VPS130). Your VPS should turn itself back on within a few minutes after you pay.

Glad to see you figured it out. Please let us know if you need anything else.

Hello, Could you please verify and fix the DKIM signing key for altair.helioho.st on VPS72? Current live check on the VPS shows: sudo opendkim-testkey -d altair.helioho.st -s default -k /etc/opendkim/keys/altair.helioho.st/default.private -vvv Output: - key not secure - keys do not match The important problem is `keys do not match`, which suggests the private key installed on the VPS does not match the public DKIM TXT record currently published for: default._domainkey.altair.helioho.st Please either: 1. update the published DKIM TXT record so it matches the private key currently installed on the VPS, or 2. replace the private key / OpenDKIM mapping on the VPS so it matches the currently published DNS record. Please also confirm that after the fix this command no longer reports `keys do not match`: sudo opendkim-testkey -d altair.helioho.st -s default -k /etc/opendkim/keys/altair.helioho.st/default.private -vvv

Hi, Yesterday I noticed that my VPS is down and after logging in to Heliohost I am notified that "We have been forced to shutdown your VPS because it expired on 2026-06-04 and you haven't made a new payment yet." This correct, but unintentional. Neither Paypal nor you mailed me that the automatic payment had stopped or that a payment attempt failed. Also, no warning mail was sent before shutting down the VPS. Meanwhile, the deadline has passed and the VPS is deleted (without a mail). What is the best action now? When I try to set up a new subscription (as advised) I cannot use the old SSH username c2tut ("not available"). Please advise. Best regards.
