wilsonoey Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Hello HelioHost Team, I am writing to kindly request the unsuspension of my hosting account kindly. My account has been suspended twice due to high server load. I believe the cause is a Moodle extension module (version 5.0.8) that I recently installed with minimal modifications. This module appears to have generated unexpectedly high load on the server, which led to the suspension. Suspension history: - First suspension: I unfortunately do not remember the exact date of the first suspension (it happened a while ago, same reason). - Second suspension: Today, July 30, 2026 - same issue (high load caused by the Moodle 5.0.8 extension). I understand that high load is against the terms of service, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. To prevent this from happening again, I plan to: 1. Disable or remove the problematic Moodle 5.0.8 extension module. 2. Review and optimize my Moodle installation to ensure it runs efficiently. 3. Monitor server resource usage more carefully going forward. I would greatly appreciate it if you could restore access to my account. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you very much for your time and understanding. Best regards. Quote
wolstech Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Moodle even without extensions is notorious for this. It's really meant to be installed on a VPS, and no matter how much you try to optimize it, you're going to get keep getting suspended unless you move to either Morty or VPS. It's simply too heavy for the free servers. My suggestion is you uninstall it entirely and find a different product. https://wiki.helionet.org/Common_Software_Load Moodle was quite literally the heaviest app we've tested. And it's so heavy that it will exceed the limits just sitting there doing nothing. This is your second time in a week too. Every time you cause high load, you slow the entire server down for thousands of other users. A third suspension on Johnny for high load may be permanent, and require you to move to Morty to be unsuspended. Please let us know when you're ready to actually fix the problem, and we'll unsuspend you. Quote
