HelioHost Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Username: N/A, Server: N/A, Main Domain: N/AHey, I'm thinking of setting up a vps, as I was using chat gpt to learn about how it works, and may wish to try it out. Unlike shared hosting, what is available in the dashboard when your server is setup. Is password resets if you forgot your password the same process as if you were on johnny or tommy? What about cancelation, is that automated like on shared hosting? Quote
wolstech Posted May 31 Posted May 31 The VPS itself comes as a plain installation of whatever operating system you pick. You can reset the password through our website for linux VPSes (assuming the VPS is responding). You would use the same forgot password process used for the dashboard, that process should change both passwords at once. Windows VPSes do not support password reset. And yes, you can cancel a VPS from the dashboard. Note that cancellation immediately turns off your VPS along with cancelling the subscription. For 6 month VPSes that are cancelled in the middle of their term, you will also need to contact support if you would like a refund for the unused months. Quote
