rafasan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hi there, On May 9th, I received an email stating: "we noticed Johnny was having issues, and powered him off to investigate. It turns out that a lot of files were missing, the master boot record was gone, and the partition table was destroyed. We managed to do some data recovery and then made backups of everything that was intact.". This email also stated that if I wanted, I could request that my website be brought back online as quickly as possible, offering me a free trial of Morty. This wasn't necessary, as waiting two or three weeks wouldn't be a problem and you explained that "If you're ok with your website being offline for a couple of weeks, no action is required of you, and you'll be able to stay on Johnny after the server is rebuilt.". Now that Johnny is online again, how can I recover my website and databases? Quote
wolstech Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You can download the data we were able to recover here: https://heliohost.org/backup/ In your case, it looks like the backup is from 2024. Newer files may be available for your account, but newer databases will not be. Would you like me to have Krydos take a look? Directions for unpacking the backup are here: https://wiki.helionet.org/Account_Backups#How_to_Extract_Your_Account_Data_from_the_Backup_File After you unpack it, you'll manually rebuild your site using the data from the backup.
