[HH#145952] RE: Dear HelioHost Support Team,

Thank you very much for your prompt response and for welcoming me to the
team. I am thrilled to help the community.

I would prefer to focus my volunteer work directly on the HelioNet forums
and via email, as I will not be using Discord for the time being. I have
already registered on the forums under my username: a2025.

I am ready to start answering user questions on the forums and assisting
with Spanish translations. Please let me know if there are any specific
guidelines I should follow or a particular translation task I can begin
with.

Best regards,

Sure. For email there are a few formatting issues that you want to avoid. For instance, if you post a link to a forum topic, the forum likes to convert it into an embed for you, but if you send an email with an embed it doesn't get sent correctly, so you have to make sure you click the button at the bottom of the forum text box to convert it back to a regular link. Most of the forum formatting like the numbered lists and bullet points don't transmit correctly either. It's better to just manually type * or 1. 2. 3. etc to make lists. Also, quoting emails doesn't work very well, so it's best to avoid it, or manually type > to indicate a quote instead of using the default forum quote system. We are planning on upgrading the email system at some point to help make the emails look better, but there are a lot more higher priority things to work on.

Dear Support Team,

Got it! Thank you for the formatting tips regarding the links, lists, and
quotes. I will make sure to follow them carefully so the emails display
correctly.

Just to be completely sure, am I officially registered as part of the
volunteer support team now?

If so, I am ready to start! I have two options in mind to begin helping:
1. I can start translating the website content into Spanish.
2. I can start answering user questions on the forums.

Please let me know which of these tasks you would prefer me to focus on
first, or if there is another priority you need help with.

Best regards,

Sure, everyone is welcome to help out whether they get our permissions first or not. Probably just focus on helping people on the forums or Discord first like I already said.
