HelioHost Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Username: N/A, Server: N/A, Main Domain: N/AI want to make a donation for a fresh VPS account. Preferrably on a server with less traffic if pssible. My sites on vps111.heliohost.us are forever timing out. I never complained but it's kind of an issue. In any cause, I want the new server to be bare, or set it up w/ aaPanel for me please. I can't remember how to place an order. If you can send a URL w/ the data to do the payment that would be cool or however you do it. Thank you! Jeffrey Sabarese
ajaxStardust Posted February 24 Posted February 24 that's me above. i know you prefer certain things in certain places. that's of course from an email request. thank you.
Krydos Posted February 24 Posted February 24 When you set up your last VPS you were having issues with your credit card because it had expired or something if I recall correctly so you weren't able to use PayPal. Go to https://heliohost.org/vps/subscription/?mem=1&cpu=2&hdd=50&os=ubuntu24 and see if PayPal is working for you now.

Krydos Posted February 24 Posted February 24 It looks like PayPal worked. I can install aaPanel for you after it finishes building.
Krydos Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Your VPS has finished building, and I installed aaPanel for you. If you login via SSH with the IP address in the email, the username jelio and the password you just picked during signup you can see the aaPanel information by running this command cat /home/jelio/aapanel.txt Let us know if you need help with anything else.
HelioHost Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 Hi there. I hope you are well. Is it possible to buy just more RAM for the servers? What do you suppose would be the best, lowest cost solutioni for me to see recognizable improvement in the server reactivity? Krydos Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I took a look at VPS111 and it is indeed very low on memory. It only had 200 MB free memory, and 700 MB of swap was in use. We recommend adding memory until your swap stay at 0 MB or very low like 50 MB or less. This would explain why you mentioned seeing timing out errors. If you run out of memory and your VPS starts to swap it can get very slow. I took a look at VPS80 and it's even worse. Only 100 MB free memory and all 2 GB of swap is in use, and the load is way too high. You can upgrade your memory by going to https://heliohost.org/dashboard/upgrade/ If you want to upgrade VPS111 use the username jsabarese to login. If you want to upgrade VPS80 use the username jelio to login.
HelioHost Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 Oh no. I think I did it incorrectly. I requested 4 GB, and paid, but If I understand your email correctly, I should have done 2 GB for one account, and 2 GB for the other. is it possible to modify my request like so? thank you! Best regards. Krydos Posted March 3 Posted March 3 It's ok. I merged the billing for VPS80 and VPS111. 2 GB memory, 2 CPUs, and 50 GB storage is $37.80 every 6 months after the 10% discount, and since you have two VPS it will bill $75.60. VPS80 had $20.59 credit remaining and VPS111 had $18.46 remaining. Pooling your remaining credit means your VPS are both paid in full until 2026-06-05. I have modified your Stripe subscription to bill for both VPS on that date. Let us know if you need help with anything else.
HelioHost Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 Thank you so much! You are awesome! Very much appreciated. I'm still playing around with stuff, but i successfully installed NodeBB at https://training.statecollegeguitarlessons.site i never tried running a "Node.js" site before. i suspect that's what's hogging the memory. i may not keep it. Cheers and best regards! Sent from Mailspring (https://getmailspring.com/), the best free email app for work On Mar 3 2026, at 4:07 pm, HelioHost Support wrote: > It's ok. Krydos Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Yeah, Node.js projects tend to use a lot more memory than PHP, Python, and other languages. It's fun to experiment with new stuff though. Node.js is a very popular language.
HelioHost Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 Hey there! I wanted to let you all know that since adding the RAM to my account, I am pleased. Thank you so much for the great job you do! Sincerely, Jeffrey Sabarese P.S. if you know anyone learning guitar, pass this along! https://training.statecollegeguitarlessons.site/ Sent from Mailspring (https://getmailspring.com/), the best free email app for work On Mar 3 2026, at 4:17 pm, HelioHost Support wrote: > Yeah, Node.js projects tend to use a lot more memory than PHP, Python, and other languages.
